Settling down all the rumors dust, Samsung has finally released statement for much anticipated Samsung Galaxy Player. It is almost certain that device will fetch the specsheet from Samsung’s highly successful and hotcake Samsung Galaxy S (except for cellular connectivity).

Codenamed YP-GB1, Galaxy player is as sleek as 9.9mm thick, runs on Android 2.2 Froyo, 3.2 MP camera, 1GHz processor and WVGA SC-LCD (Super Clear LCD) screen in contrast with Super AMOLED screen of Galaxy S.

According to statement, it is predicted to feature and get official in CES 2011, the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow.

Galaxy Player is the same to Galaxy S and Samsung as iPod Touch is to iPhone and Apple. Again supporting the rivalry features, the showtime between Touch and Galaxy Player is being considered as EPIC.
